We spend a lot of time at work. In fact, U.S. Census data says we spend a-third of our lives there. The unfortunate thing, according to a recent Gallup survey, is that nearly two-thirds of those we spend our days with are either not engaged or are intentionally trying to disengage. One-third and two-thirds adds up to one wholly less than likable experience.
Maybe, we can do something that might help the two-thirds feel more like part of the team and let them know that what they do matters. There are a lot of factors that contribute to that, but to quote Michael Jackson, “I’m starting with the man in the mirror.” The Ivy Lyfe app is part of your grooming regimen, so to speak. It helps us work on the things that make our reflection—at least in the professional context—as likable as possible.
The Ivy Lyfe app uses stories from life and pop culture to deliver interactive learning sessions through photos, videos, narration, slideshows, quizzes, and more - all with the goal of improving the way we work with others.
What we do as L. Ivy was inspired by a couple of likable people. One was a manager that put her direct reports in position to succeed. The other empowered his team to do their very best work. And for whatever else it is that we might accomplish here, we’re going to stay true to those ideals. In the app or out, that’s the Ivy Lyfe.
